MLP subsidiary TPC and VDMA extend cooperation

  • Federation members gain access to industry solution for occupational pension provision
  • TPC draws on 10 years of experience as an independent consultancy services provider to the engineering sector
Wiesloch, 2nd August 2013 – The MLP subsidiary TPC (The Pension Consultancy GmbH) and the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) are extending their cooperation in VDMA provision management. The corresponding contract was concluded between TPC and VSMA GmbH, a subsidiary wholly-owned by the federation which serves as an insurance broker to its members. TPC in conjunction with VSMA GmbH thus remain the primary contact for the more than 3,100 member companies of the federation with respect to all aspects of occupational pensions.

The existing cooperation began in 2004 and comprises the entire consultancy spectrum of TPC. Through access to the industry solution, the predominantly medium-sized member companies can utilise all types of occupational pension schemes. Compared to individual contracts, the available policies provide members with additional benefits such as higher maturity values and a simplified health check procedure for occupational disability insurance. The array of products offered to employers within the framework of the consultancy services ranges from support with the introduction of working time accounts through to the structuring and reorganisation of benefit plans or the liquidity-preserving external financing of pension and benefits obligations.

“We are pleased about the continuation of our longstanding cooperation with VDMA/VSMA,” comments Dr. Ralf Raube, Head of the Occupational Pensions division at MLP. “Particularly with a view to the shortage of specialised skilled workers and the need for employee retention, occupational pensions are also becoming an increasingly important topic for medium-sized companies.”

“The cooperation with TPC has proven to be of value. There is increasing demand from our members for comprehensive and independent consultancy regarding occupational pension provision,” comments Jürgen Seiring, Managing Director of VSMA.
