The education programme offered by the CU thereby complies with the international requirements of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). Since the launch of the Bologna Process, the ECTS criteria have enabled students across Europe to more easily transfer to other universities based on recognition of their study courses and qualifications.
This certification enables simpler recognition of further education undertaken at the CU with respect to participation in Bachelor’s and Master’s courses at state universities. Consequently, MLP is planning to offer study courses in cooperation with state universities.
“We are very pleased to have received certification for our Corporate University. It underlines our high standards which far exceed the statutory minimum educational requirements,” comments Karl-Friedrich Bauer, Divisional Head and President of the Corporate University. “The direct connectability with the university landscape opens up new possibilities in continuing professional development and further education and significantly enhances the appeal of a position as an MLP consultant.”
“MLP is committed to reasonable aims regarding the qualification of MLP consultants and branch managers, and realises them coherently in all aspects considered,” says Thorsten Schomann, Head of Institutional Procedures by FIBAA. “Noteworthy are its achievements in the design and implementation of advanced training courses, driven not least by a dedicated and qualified team.”
FIBAA is an internationally-oriented foundation that promotes transparency and quality within the educational environment, focussing on institutions and study courses in the fields of economics, law and social sciences. One focus of activity is the subject-specific assessment of study courses leading to Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Germany.
Furthermore, in its capacity as an official accreditation agency, FIBAA inspects universities and educational institutions as well as ensuring the comparability of quality standards and assurance processes in the educational domain.
Since 1999 the MLP Corporate University has been providing training in finance, provision, taxation and law – and in 2007 was awarded the quality seal of the European Foundation of Management Development (EFMD). Last year it also gained accreditation by the Financial Planning Standards Board Deutschland e. V. as an approved provider of training for the qualification of Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
