The CFP is the highest internationally recognized training standard for financial consultants. In the survey "Requirements of Financial Consultants - More quality, better decisions" ("Anforderungen an Finanzvermittler - mehr Qualität, bessere Entscheidungen"), commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, the financial planning idea is a key factor for the recommended actions.
"With the registration to accreditation we again document the high quality of our training and further education courses at our Corporate University and once again set standards in the industry", says Karl-Friedrich Bauer, Divisional Director for the MLP Corporate University.
"We are pleased that MLP, as a large independent financial and wealth services company, has sought accreditation for our high training standards", explains Rudolf Fuhrmann, CEO at FPSB Germany.
The new course of studies at the MLP Corporate University covers large parts of the contents which have been specified by the FPSB Germany for the CFP certification. In addition the course has also been especially adapted to match the expertise of the MLP financial consultants, who are already excellently versed in many areas thanks to their regular further training. Initially, the company-internal course of study culminates with the internal title "financial planner" for the MLP financial consultants. The remaining modules required for CFP certification are then obtained either at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel or at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in Frankfurt. Both educational institutes are already accredited by the FPSB Germany.
The MLP Corporate University holds around 50,000 days of training each year. As one of only 15 European corporate universities the MLP CU is accredited by the European Foundation of Management Development (EFMD). Since 2005 MLP financial consultants can also acquire a Master of Business Administration (MBA) which MLP offers in conjunction with international partner universities.
