MLP plans the sale of its business unit in Austria to Aragon

Wiesloch, 10th August 2009 - The independent financial services and wealth management consulting company MLP has in principle agreed the sale of its business unit in Austria to Aragon AG. The contract will probably be concluded this autumn. The transaction is still subject to approval by the cartel authorities as well as the financial market supervisory authorities in Austria.

MLP has been represented in Austria since 1995 where 59 consultants advise over 15,000 clients. Furthermore, MLP will discontinue business operations in The Netherlands as per 30th September 2009 where the company only runs one branch office.

“These decisions allow us to focus our private client business on our core market in Germany in the future and to drive other internationalisation projects forward directly with Feri,” comments Dr. Uwe Schroeder-Wildberg, Chief Executive Officer at MLP AG.

The business units in Austria and The Netherlands are already posted as discontinued operations and jointly contributed less than two percent to the total MLP Group revenues last year.
